Well, after many conversations about mom's condition and health, we've decided to make a blog. It is ripping an idea off, but its a good idea! My mom will be posting, as well as myself and my dad.
So, we know that my mom has cancer of the liver. She has surgery on the 15th of January at OHSU in Portland with a real freakin' good surgeon. It's gonna take about 3 hours and she'll be in the hospital for 5 days. She's gonna have about 20% of her liver taken out, but it'll grow back.
Well, I'll get mom hooked up with posting, then finish watching ELF. Prayers are welcome and appreciated!!! Thanks for your good thoughts,
Peter

Peter,
You are the best for doing this! Especially good for us living in different area or zip codes from the 'core' family. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy who is so brave. I am here for you all whenever you need me.
Love,
Susie
Hey Peter and Family,
Thank you for including us in knowing about the blog...our prayers are with all of you every single day. We're encouraged that she is a good candidate for surgery. Since God gave us only one liver, it's great it can grow back!!
You're loved and thought about,
Emily, Cathy and Mo.
Thank you for doing this Peter. I've been thinking about all of you everyday. I'm sorry to have missed you for the holidays but I think mom and I will be down soon. I love you guys. Continue to be strong.

To Nancy, Franz and Peter,
You will all be in my payers. I will pray that God uses his healing powers on Nancy and that all will turn out well. Thinking of you.

Peter thank you for creating the blog, I just wish I could figure this out. OK 2nd time trying, you know growing up with 4 brothers was not easy, never having sisters to play with or talk to, but my brothers were always there for me and now I have 4 great sisters to talk to and shop with. Nancy you have a great unit of support between family and friends and because of that you will beat this with the great mind set that you have. FJ and Peter if you need anything call me and I will come running, Nancy heal fast I need to go shoe shopping with my sis.
Love you all
Charlotte
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR PLUE FOUR (NANCY) TODAY?
As you all know, we are an Air Force family. All the kids either served as their Dad did or grew up in the USAF.
During my Air Force career we had a great slogan: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR BLUE FOUR TODAY? What is Blue Four? Well, in a typical air force flying formation there is Blue One...they leader...the guy in front! Directly behind the leader are two planes called "the wing men"...in a straight line across from each other, they are Blue 2 and Blue 3. Bringing up the rear...all alone is the guy they called "Tail-End Charlie" during World War II...he is the vulnerable Blue Four.
Now, the saying goes among airmen that if you guard, look out for..watch over Blue Four, you will get ALL your planes through any mission. Thus the saying: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR BLUE FOUR TODAY?
Nancy...we all know how vulnerable you must feel...but you are not alone. While your flying Blue Four's slot on your medical mission, you have the entire family force praying...caring..ready to help in any way to see you through.
So I would remind everyone in this wondrous family to remember...
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR NANCT (BLUE FOUR) TODAY!!!

Dear Nancy,
We want to send you a message from your extended Alaskan family. We love you. We love how you fascinate over bear scat... we love how you enjoy our salmon, our fireweed, and looking for special rocks along the shoreline of Willow Creek.
But most of all... we love you! We can't wait to welcome you back home so we can build even more memories. We Believe in that with all our hearts!
Love,
Chas, Janet, Tim, Sean, Camilla, Ryan, Tara, Riley, Chase, Joe, Hollie, Logan, Madison, Kasee, Jake, Zack, Nick, Cinder, Freckles, Shadow, and Bonnie
Niki and I wanted you to know we are thinking and praying for Nancy and the family.
This blog is a testament to all the love and support that is so important in times like these.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
With love and support,
Jason and Niki
